Engineering Positions - Senior Application Engineer

Shift: 1st

Qualifications:
Education: Requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and two years experience in the job offered or two years experience in a related position. Related engineering experience must have been within an engineering sales environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and obtain product requirements and technical information from customers, sales representatives, and manufacturing personnel. Create and update Autocad drawings for motors. Perform collection and analysis of specification data. Perform bearing life calculations. Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.

2. Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs, and to determine system requirements. Develop sales proposals, including prototype and production pricing. Read, interpret and analyze scientific, professional and technical journals, technical procedures, government regulations and other documents such as drawings, bills of materials, assembly instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Obtain customer written approval before the design, manufacture, assembly, or testing of prototype gearmotor or motor.

3. Instruct and guide lab technicians to ensure units are built and tested correctly. Develop sales proposals including, technical drawings, technical data, internal costing, delivery terms, and sell price.

4. Complete failure analyses on prototypes. Assist in the building, assembly and testing of prototypes and samples as required. Review test data and prepare written test results for submittal with wiring diagrams, speed torque curve and other data. Perform sales support and special projects as required.
